W.J. Grimes, 84, of Helena, died on Friday, November 3, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Grimes was preceded in death by his parents, Steven Loris Grimes and Ommie Inez Skipper Grimes and a daughter, Lynn Strom.

He was a farmer.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 5, 2017 in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the services in the chapel on Sunday.

Mr. Allen Grimes and Mr. Vernon Steele will officiate.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice Grimes of Helena; 2 sons, Jimmy (Connie) Grimes of Helena and Wayne Grimes; 3 grandchildren, Mandi Grimes (Brock) Long of Hickory, N.C., Jamey (Alicia) Grimes of Helena, Joni (Blake) Conley of Helena; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Roy (Opal) Grimes of Milan, Gerrell (Sara) Grimes of Metter, Wilton (Shirley) Grimes of Chickamauga, GA; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
