Wilson Powell Coody

Graveside services for Wilson Powell Coody (Willie Wilson) of Perry, Ga., formerly of McRae, Ga., will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 8 at Telfair Memorial Gardens in McRae, Ga.

The Rev. Don Caulley will officiate.

Coody, 65, went home to be with our Lord on Monday, March 5, 2012.

He was the son of the late Wilson Porter and Carolyn Powell Coody.

He was a member of the Helena Methodist Church and a long time resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Survivors include daughters, Carla Catreece Fritts (Russell) of Kathleen, Ga., Carol Coody Hammons of Kathleen, Ga; grandchildren, Brandon Fritts and Adam Fritts, Lucas Hammons; step-grandchildren, Brett Hammons and Jacklyn Hammons; sisters, Joy Newton and Ms. Sherma Ashcraft; numerous nieces and nephews and many, many friends on the gulf coast.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7 at the funeral home.
