Wilma S. Dopson

Wilma S. Dopson, 76, of McRae, died on Thursday, July 7, 2016, in Eastman.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 9 at the Jacksonville United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Jacksonville Cemetery.

The Rev. B.L. Horne will officiate.

Mrs. Dopson had retired with the Telfair Board of Education. She had also worked at Southern Charm and Cedar Lane. She was a member of the Jacksonville United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Harrell Dopson; grandson, Ricky Etling; parents, Cecil and Sally Mae Cockrell Sanderson; 2 brothers, Wayne Sanderson and Tommy Sanderson; 2 sisters, Cynthia Sanderson and Peggy Andrews.

Survivors include 3 sons, John R. Dopson of Jacksonville, Paul A. (Wanda) Dopson of Eastman and Stephen (Janna) Dopson of Jacksonville;4 grandchildren, Justin, Brent, Jennelle, Kristin;4 great-grandchildren, James, Stephen, Emilee, Brinley; 2 sisters, Charlene (Bobby) Bonner of Leesburg, Ga., Shirley (Robert) Trowell of Nashville, Ga.; 1 brother, Jimmy (Betty Jo) Sanderson of Alapaha; and many friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Friday, July 8 at Lowe's Funeral Home.

The family has requested and was Wilma's wishes, please no flowers. Please send donations to the Jacksonville United Methodist Church.
