Walter Lamar Spires Jr.

Walter Lamar Spires Jr., 81 of Scotland, passed away Friday, January 21, 2022 at the Georgia War Veterans Home in Milledgeville. He is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Fay Spires; parents, Walter Lamar Spires Sr. and Mildred Davis Spires; sister, Katherine Bright and brother, Sam Spires.

Mr. Spires was born in Alexandria, VA. He was a Boiler Operator for Rayonier.

Mr. Spires is survived by his son, Robert (Kuniyo) Spires of Macon, 2 grandsons, Justin Spires and Michael Brent Spires; sister, Donna Spires (Johnny Brown) of Alamo; several nieces and nephews, several great nieces and great nephews and several great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

Visitation for Mr. Spires will be Tuesday, January 25, 2022 from 10A.M.-11A.M. at the Chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home. The funeral service will also be Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the Chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home at 11A.M. with burial following at the Scotland City Cemetery. Rev. Curtis Wells will officiate.
