Virginia Spires, 71, of Hazlehurst, died on Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Community Hospice in Vidalia.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy D. Spires; her parents, Alma Lillian Lester Knight and Luther Crawford Knight.

She was a homemaker.

Services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, October 22nd in the Chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Blockhouse Cemetery.

The Rev. Royce Hulett will officiate.

Survivors include her children, Randy (Mi ok) Spires of Hazlehurst, Andy (Lynn) Spires of Pfafftown, N.C., Jeanie (Andy) Cone of Alamo and Saundra (Brian) Livingston of Hazlehurst; companion, Johnny Davis of Monroe; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, R.L. Knight of Breman; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Saturday, October 21st at the funeral home.
