Vauneta White Smith

Vauneta White Smith, 92, of McRae, passed away of Sunday, May, 1, 2016, at the Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin.

Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, May 3rd in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home, Helena and interment will follow in the Telfair Memorial Gardens, McRae.

She was a member of Towns Church of God and was a homemaker.

She was the widow of Carlton Omas (C.O.) Smith and the daughter of the late Tom and Effie Mae Wagstaff White. She was preceded in death by a son, Danny Carlton Smith Sr.

The Rev. David Deen, the Rev. Richard Lewis officiated and the Rev. L.S. Seabolt will officiate at the gravesite.

Survivors include 1 son, Johnny O. Smith; 4 daughters, Diane Smith, Patsy Padgett all of McRae Janice Smith of Gainsville and Cindy Powell of McRae; 9 grandchildren, several great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Beatrice Culberson, of Tennessee, Doris Sellars, of Macon, Eva Leon of Tennessee and Shirley Manus of Forsyth.

Visitation was held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, May 2nd at the funeral home.
