Valda Eugene Yawn

Valda Eugene Yawn, age 80, of LaBelle, FL., passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016, in LaBelle, FL.

He was born May 19, 1936, in Rhine, GA the son of the late Morgan Cook Yawn and the late Meardie Ennis Knight Yawn.

Valda was a Godly Man and he loved the Lord. He loved his family deeply. Anyone who knew him loved him. He was a welder, mechanic, fabricator, and worked in agriculture.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 25 at the Rockwell Baptist Church and interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 1:45 P.M., before the services at the church.

The Rev. Chris Clifton and the Rev. Benny Moore will officiate.

He is survived by his daughters: Brenda Lee Lastinger of LaBelle, FL. and Regina Sue Smith of LeHigh Acres, FL.; grandchildren: James Edward Lastinger II, Brandy Lee Miller, Valda Eugene Yawn-White and Shannon Eugene Yawn Raiche; great-grandchildren: Emma Lauren Yawn-White, Christian Michael Miller, Anna Lee Miller, Jude Michael Miller, Mercy Lee Miller and Noah Michael Miller; siblings: Dorothy Lee of Dublin, Waunell (Miles) Reynolds of Gresston, Florence Peterson of Rhine, Morgan (Margaret) Yawn Jr. of Rhine, Donnie (Pam) Yawn of Rhine, Daphine (Bobby) Martin of Weston and Polly (Nathan) Rowe of Alamo.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Patricia Ellen Freeland Yawn and daughter: Patricia Ann Yawn, grandson: Patrick Anderson White and great-grandson: Riley-Yawn White and sister, Mary Maxine Yawn.
