Thomas Mitchell "Mitch" Johnson, 52, entered into Eternal rest March 2, 2014.

Survivors include his mother, Ann Johnson Copas of Scotland; father, L.S. Johnson of Vallejo, CA; brothers, L.S. (Carolyn) Johnson and Bobby Johnson all of Scotland; 2 daughters, Jessica Johnson of Hazlehurst and Tara Ann Marie Johnson of California; 2 step-grandchildren, Megan Staley and Gabe Staley; and many friends.

Mitch was preceded into eternal rest by his wife, Deborah Ann Brown Johnson, step-father, Jerry Copas, brother, Charles Johnson; step-son, Marty Staley.

Mitch was born March 9, 1961 in San Diego, California. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator with S & S Equipment and was a truck driver.

He was a member of the McRae Presbyterian Church.

Services will be held Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the McRae Presbyterian Church and interment will follow in the Scotland City Cemetery.

The Lay Minister Norwood Davidson will be officiating.

Visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5 at the funeral home.
