Thomas Eugene Ashley, age 69, of Scotland, Georgia, died on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at his residence. He was born on Sunday, August 21, 1955, in McRae, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Kennon (Red) Ashley and Mattie Etta Hall Ashley and his companion, Joyce Brown.

Thomas was employed by Hazlehurst Mills and worked as a Loom Operator for many years. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his Daughter - Tonya Berry (Chris) of Cobbtown; Son - Timothy Ashley of New York; Six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; Brother - Ronald Ashley (Gayle) of Eastman; Sisters - Cynthia Tucker (Johnny Riddle) of McRae, Jeannie Hunt (Bill) of McRae and Janel Smith of Dublin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 25 in the chapel of Lowes Funeral Home with Rev. James Hammock officiating. Interment will follow in Scotland City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 24 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Lowes Funeral Home.
