Services for Thelma Hawkins of McRae will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, August 6 at McRae 1st United Methodist Church with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, McRae. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00pm Monday, August 5 at the funeral home.

The Rev. Todd Crosby and the Rev. Peter Barlow will officiate.

Mrs. Hawkins, age 89, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2013 in Woodstock. She was the daughter of the late Millard and Ola Hancock of McRae and was the widow of Claud T. Hawkins of McRae.

She was a member of McRae 1st United Methodist Church and had retired in childcare.

Survivors include three sons, Fred (Cathy) Hawkins of Marietta, James (Mary Ann) Hawkins of St. Simons and Jack (Barbara) Hawkins of Marietta; six grandchildren, Fred T. Hawkins, Chrissy (Todd) Cosper, Mandy (Jake) McLendon, Tyler Hawkins, Rachel (Jake) Duncan, Michael (Summer) Hawkins; nine great-grandchildren, Alex Hawkins, Lydia Cosper, Jonah Cosper, Miriam Cosper, Hailey McLendon, Emily McLendon, Benjamin Duncan, Adler Hawkins, Cora Hawkins; one sister, Ruth (Avery) Owens of Tyrone; and many friends.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations in memory of Thelma Hawkins be made to the church of your choice.
