Services for Sara Katherine Varandoe Prickett of McRae will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 13 in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home with interment in the Macedonia Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 12 at the funeral home.

The Rev. Jimmy Cothren will officiate.

Mrs. Prickett, age 67, died January 10, 2013 at the Coffee Regional Hospital in Douglas.

She was the daughter of the late Worth and Hilda Hanes Varandoe and was married to William Russell Prickett. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mindy Caraway.

She had retired from the CVS in Eastman.

Survivors include her husband, Russell Prickett of McRae; 6 children, Susan (Jimmy) Joines of Eastman, Barbara (Don) Grinstead of McRae, Kathy (Melvin) Caraway of Uvalda, Patsy (Billy) Jones of McRae, Sheryl Bloodworth of McRae, Martha (Gene) Welborn of Warner Robins; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Ed (Marty) Varandoe of Gainsville, Fla; 2 sisters, Lee (Roger) Nash of Somerville, TN and Iris (Dale) Rogers of Oklahoma City, OK; nieces, nephews and many friends.
