Sandra Melissa Williams, (Sandy), age 52, passed away on August 5th, 2019 in Eastman, Georgia, following a brief illness. She was born in Jacksonville, Georgia on September 21, 1966 and was the daughter of Grady Horace Williams and Martha Jane Hatfield Williams.
She is survived by her sons, Cory Smith of Tifton, and James Knowles of Warner Robins, and sisters Betty (Doug) Brown and Bobbie (Jose) Espejo, of Orlando, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Ann Davis of Helena, Glenda Paulk of McRae, Kathy Hatfield of Hazlehurst, Robbie Jo McRae (Murphy) of Helena, and brother Larry (Brenda) Hatfield of Jacksonville, and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
She attended Workmore School in Jacksonville and Telfair County High School. She was a member of Blockhouse Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Georgia.
The family would like to thank the McRae Manor Nursing Home and Dodge County Hospital for the care and compassion they extended to Ms. Williams while she was there.
Sadly, Ms. Williams' life was too short, and she will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Please join us for her memorial service which will be held at the chapel at Lowe's Funeral Home on August 17, 2019, at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Donations in Ms. Williams' memory can be made to Blockhouse Baptist Church, PO Box 96, Jacksonville, GA 31544. Flowers can be sent to Lowe's Funeral Home, 170 8th Street, Helena, Ga., 31037.
