Sammie Rawlins Rogers, 84, of Helena, died Monday, May 6, 2013 at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 9, at the Providence Primitive Baptist Church, Helena.

The Rev. Billy Baker will officiate.

Mr. Rogers was the son of the late William and Addie Stripling Rogers of Dodge County. He had been a truck driver for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Smith Rogers of Helena; children, Nancy Diers of Eastman, Karen Rooks of Eastman, William Joey Rogers of Eastman, Leeanne Burch of Helena, and Sammie Paul Rogers of Helena; stepchildren, Sharon Stuckey of Plainsville and Stacey Mann of Helena; several grandchildren; sisters, Faustine Peacock of Macon and Evelyn Helton of Dublin.
