Sallie Mae Smith Yawn, 91, of Chauncey, went to her Heavenly Home on Saturday, August 15, 2015. She was a resident of the McRae Manor Nursing Home in McRae.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 18 at the Zion Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

The Rev. James Hammock will officiate.

The family will receive friends after the service in the social hall of Zion Hope Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.H. "Bunky" Yawn and parents, James and Kate Smith.

Ms. Sallie was a member of Zion Hope Baptist Church. She had worked at Roydon Wear for many years.

Survivors include 1 son, Grady (Ann) Yawn of Chauncey; 6 grandchildren, Summer (Alan) Wilson of Raleigh, N.C., Kory (Ben) McCranie of Rhine, Michael (Kim) Horton of Perry, David Wilson of Raleigh, N.C., Lindsay (Weston) Lee of Macon and Coby Horton of Athens.

The family will meet at the home of Grady and Ann Yawn, 424 Cadillac Lodge Road, Chauncey.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions can be made to the Zion Hope Baptist Church, P.O. Box 25, Chauncey, Georgia 31011.
