Ruth Brack Dennis, 86, of Helena, died Sunday April 26 at McRae Manor Nursing Home with her family by her side. She was born April 28, 1928, to the late Vance and Charlotte Ryals Brack. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, John Pershing Dennis. Ruth is survived by her two daughters, Renee Dennis Cravey (Charles) of Statesboro and Geneva Dennis Shepherd (Monroe) of Milan; a special "adopted" daughter Diane Tucker (James) of Fitzgerald, grandchildren Angela Monahan (Chris), Jonathan Cravey, Jason Shepherd, and Kayla Brown (Phillip), great- grandchildren Ben Monahan, Meghan Monahan, and Rylie Brown. Two brothers, Billy Brack(Charlene), W.R. Brack of McRae, and one sister, Connell Hullett (Roy) Macon also survive. She was a long-time member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held Monday, April 27 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lowe's Funeral Home of Helena. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Roy Peterson will officiate. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Mt. Olivet UM Church Cemetery Fund. Lowe's Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
