Ronda Louise Dayhoff

Saturday, April 24, 1971 – Wednesday, May 13, 2026

Ronda Louise Dayhoff, age 55, of Helena, Georgia, passed away on May 13, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by the love of her family and the memories of a life marked by gentleness and selfless devotion. Ronda was born on April 24, 1971, in McRae, Georgia to the late Ronald and Shirley Grimes.

Memorialization will be by cremation. The family had initially planned a private service; however, they have now elected to hold a memorial service for all who wish to attend and celebrate Ronda's life. Memorial Services for Ronda will be held at Mt. Galilee Baptist Church on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Sam Holland officiating.

Ronda was known by those who loved her as a kind and steady presence, someone who gave of herself freely and quietly. Her gentle spirit touched many lives, and her selfless nature was evident in the way she cared for her family.

Ronda dedicated her working years to service roles, including in the cafeteria at Telfair County Elementary School and in retail with Circle K and Dollar General. Ronda faithfully attended Mt. Galilee Baptist Church until her sickness. Her faith was an important part of her life. She found strength in her beliefs and comfort in the fellowship of her church family.

Ronda is survived by her husband, Tim Dayhoff of Helena; her children, Justin Dayhoff (Caroline) of Helena, James Dayhoff (Callie) of Pridgen, and Jessica Dayhoff of Helena; and her beloved grandchildren, Cate, Tanner, Ellie, and Lainey. She is also survived by her sister, Lisa Floyd (Eddie) of Alamo. Her family was the center of her life, and she cherished each of them deeply. She found immense joy in being a wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and her love for her family was unwavering.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald William Grimes, and Shirley Brown Grimes, and by her sister, Susanne Grimes.

Those who knew Ronda will remember her for her gentle manner, her selfless heart, and the quiet strength she displayed in every season of life. Her life was a testament to faith, love, and devotion to family.

Though Ronda's earthly journey has ended, the example she set and the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
