Roger Locke Ward, 91, of McRae, Georgia died on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Dodge County Hospital. Mr. Ward was born on Monday, October 17, 1932 in McRae, Georgia. He was the son of the late Jim Weaver Ward and Willie Mae Harper Ward (Hall).

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Lillian Sanders, Lois Bass, Gussie Hamlin, Oscar Ward, Mary Lou Towns, Lola Deal, Eunice Hulett and Ervin Ward.

He worked as a self-employed painter. He was an avid race car fan and a pool shark.

Roger is survived by his Son – Mike Ward of McRae-Helena; Grandson – Collin Ward of South Carolina; Sister – Jackie McCullough of Jacksonville, Florida. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Ward was memorialized by cremation and services will be announced at a later date.
