Robert Walter Kohlheim, age 81, of McRae, Georgia, passed away on June 6, 2026, at Dodge County Hospital in Eastman, Georgia. He was born on March 17, 1945, in Jersey City, New Jersey, to the late Walter Fred Kohlheim and Margaret Wright Kohlheim.

Memorialization was by cremation.

Robert served his country in the United States Navy, an experience that reflected his sense of responsibility and commitment to something greater than himself. Following his service to his country, Robert continued his career in public safety as a Captain with the Glynn County Fire Department in Brunswick, Georgia. In that role, he was entrusted with leadership and relied upon in moments of urgency and uncertainty.

He is survived by his grandsons, Robert Kohlheim and David Jackson. His family brought him great joy and meaning.

Robert Walter Kohlheim will be remembered with love, respect, and gratitude for all he gave throughout his years.
