Robert Richardson Gerrish, 86, of Alamo, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2015, at the Georgia Regents Medical Center in Augusta.

Mr. Gerrish was married to Nina Carter Gerrish of Alamo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Blanche Richardson Gerrish; brother, Arthur C. Gerrish; sister, Evelyn Tucker,

Mr. Gerrish was a Veteran serving in the United States Navy. He had retired with the USDA as an Entomologist.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 12 in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Alamo City Cemetery.

The Rev. Kyle Woodfin will officiate.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Nina Gerrish of Alamo; son, Eric Gerrish of Alamo; daughter, Jan Gerrish of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; sister, Billie Powell of Morrow and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday, October 11 at the funeral home.
