Memorial services for Robert Edward Buchanan, of McRae, will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Soul Cross Ministries in McRae, GA. The Rev. Stanley Steverson will officiate.

Mr. Buchanan, 83, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, January 13, 2015.

Mr. Buchanan was married to Tressie Pieffer Buchanan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Caroline Peterson Buchanan of Iowa, his brother, Herman from Nebraska and sister, Mary from Colorado. He had served his country during the Korean War and had retired from Centex.

Survivors include his wife, Tressie Buchanan of McRae; 5 children, Joseph Buchanan of Palm Bay,FL, Randy Buchanan of Bridgeville, DE., Debbie Evans of Delmont, IA, Janis Lewis of McRae, GA. and Edward Eugene Buchanan of Jacksonville, FL.; 14 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; 1 brother, Tom and 2 sisters, Leatha and Janey.
