Richard L. Walton, Sr., 77, of Lumber City, Georgia passed away on January 10, 2025, at his residence. He was born on January 9, 1948, in Springfield, Massachusetts, to the late Linester Walton and Rose Trask Walton.

After a fulfilling career with the State of North Carolina, Richard retired as an inspector for the Department of Insurance.

He is survived by his loving wife- Janice Seabolt Walton; Sons - Richard Walton, Jr., Ryan Walton, and Emmett Patterson, III; Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Brother - Lee Walton.

Mr. Walton was memorialized by cremation. At the family's request, there will be no memorial service at this time.
