Rev. Chris Clifton age 47 of Milan, Georgia died Saturday, August 26, 2017 at his residence in Milan, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00PM Monday, August 28, 2017 at Rockwell Baptist Church with Rev. Jody Yancey, Rev. Michael Widener and Rev. Odis King officiating. Burial will be in the Rockwell Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service at Rockwell Baptist Church.

Chris was born in Laurens County on July 22, 1970 to the late Henry Ezekiel (Bo) Clifton and the late Viola Erlene Peterson Arnold. Chris was a 1988 graduate of Montgomery County High School. After graduation he joined the United States Army. Chris was an ordained minister and currently the worship leader at the River Church in Eastman, Ga. He was employed by Attco Incorporated. He was a talented upholsterer and carpenter. He had a passion to tell others about his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He loved his wife, children and his dog.

He is survived by his wife Candace Yawn Clifton of Milan, daughters Abby Clifton, Allie Clifton and Anna Clifton all of Milan; son Zachery Clifton of Indiana; sister Karen (Mike) Harrelson of Alley, Georgia; step-mother Shirley Clifton Roberson of Alston, Georgia; step-father Fred Arnold of Eastman, Georgia; father and mother-in-law Donnie and Pam Yawn of Rhine, Georgia; several aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews also survived.
