Rebecca Meaders Rawlins

Rebecca Meaders Rawlins, 77, of McRae, died Sunday May 19, 2019 in the Dodge County Hospital, Eastman, Georgia.

Becky was the widow of Preston Nickerson Rawlins Jr., and was preceded in death by her two sons Preston Nickerson Rawlins III and Jack Meaders Rawlins; her parents Fletcher Jack Meaders and Cora Blatz Meaders. She was born in Athens, Georgia on June 11, 1941 and received her bachelors degree from the University of Georgia and honored to be a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Becky was an elementary school teacher for a brief time and a homemaker.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 21st at 3 p.m. in the McRae United Methodist Church with the Rev. Craig Rikard, Rev. Jason Dickerson and Lay Minister Norwood Davidson officiating with Roy Grenade pianist.

Survivors include her son John R (Trinidy) Rawlins of Hawkinsville and two grandsons, Jack Rawlins and Brannen Rawlins. She is also survived by numerous friends including Dick and Brenda Rich.

The family will greet friends from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 21st at the McRae United Methodist Church.
