Randolph "Randy" Lamar Murdaugh passed away on July 22, 2026, at McRae Manor Nursing Home in McRae, Georgia, at the age of 69. Born on July 12, 1957, in McRae, Georgia, Randy spent his life deeply rooted in the community he called home.

Graveside Services will be held at Telfair Memorial Gardens on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Jimbo Dominey officiating. The family will receive friends for a visitation at the graveside prior to the service, beginning at 1:30 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2026. Friends, family, and neighbors are invited to come together in remembrance of Randy’s life and legacy.

Randy worked for many years as a Probation Officer for the Telfair County Probation Office.

He is survived by his loving children, Kayla Murdaugh (Matt Yawn) of McRae, and Drew Murdaugh (Katy) of Alamo; his grandchildren, Daisy Murdaugh, Lily Bales, and Ivy Bales; his brother, Scott Murdaugh of Florida, and several nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Lamar Murdaugh, Jr. and Faye McDonald Murdaugh, whose values and example guided him throughout his days.

Randy lived a simple life and leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering devotion to his family.
