Pete Alvin Moon

Pete Alvin Moon, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at the Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 27 in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home with interment in the Trinity Cemetery.

The Rev. James Hammock will officiate.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. Until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 26 at the funeral home.

He was married to Sylvia Yawn Moon and was the son of the late Lewis and Clifford Ray Moon.

Pete was an Army Veteran and was member of the Scotland Baptist Church. He retired from the Telfair County Board of Education as a Mechanic.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Yawn Moon of McRae; 1 daughter, Belynda Higingbotham of Glenwood; 2 grandchildren, Jason Ledford and Brandi Funderburk both of McRae; 3 great-grandchildren, Kyla Ledford, Bethany Ledford, and Blair Spires all from McRae; 1 brother, Billy Moon of Alamo.
