Peggy J. Saunders

Peggy J. Saunders, of McRae, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014. She was a member of McRae First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Saunders was preceded in death by her husband, William Grady Saunders, Sr., her son, William (Bill) G. Saunders, Jr., parents, Edelle and E.H. Johns, two sisters, Billie Johns and Iris Beck. She is survived by daughters, Joy S. Williams and Cheryl Saunders both of McRae, daughter-in-law, Donna S. Saunders of Murfreesboro, TN., seven grandchildren: Greg (Ellie) Williams, Grant Williams, Jeffrey (Tracy) Williams, Bennett (Tonia) Brantley, Teri (David) Plichta, Anthony (Amanda) Saunders and Jill S. Hall; seven great-grandchildren: C.J. and Jake Williams, Rachel and Christopher Plichta, Carter, Graham and Will Hall.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 14 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Lowe's Funeral Home, Helena. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Telfair Memorial Gardens, McRae.

The Rev. Royce Vaughn and Dr. William Connell will officiate.

The family suggest donations be made to the McRae First Baptist building fund or the American Cancer Society.

Lowe's Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
