Ozzie Dennis Thornton, 66 of Alamo, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023, at his residence. He is preceded in death by his parents, W.C. and Sarah Thornton, wife, Cherry Ann Thornton and extended children, Charlene Byrne and Andy Forrest.

Mr. Thornton was a Logger with DMS Industry.

Mr. Thornton is survived by his companion, Linda Forrest of Alamo; children, Steven Thornton of Glenwood, Matthew (Rebecca) Thornton of Glenwood, Collis (Tiffany) Thornton of Dublin, Nathan Oliver of Gainesville, Kristie (Chris) Scott of Glenwood, Cindy (Todd) Vann of Glenwood, Quentin (Ashley) Thornton of Ailey, Heather (Jamie) Ricks of Alamo, Dustin (Nicole) Thornton of Alamo, Sara (Alex) Clark of Alamo and Tiffany (Ryan) Hall of Dublin; 2 sisters, Effie Dennison of Screven and Dianne Castor of Brunswick; extended children, Melissa (Danny) Clark of Glenwood, Rayburn (Michelle) Oliver of Vidalia, Shannon Oliver of Vidalia, Amy (Glynn) Horne of Glenwood and Blake (Haley) Bush of Dublin; step-children, Tommy (Tammy) Forrest, Jr. of McRae, Steven (Lynn) Forrest of Chauncey and Ada (Jerry Neal, Jr.) Powell; also, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The graveside service will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at O'Quinn Baptist Church Cemetery, 175 O'Quinn Church St. Screven, GA 31560. Rev. Daniel Castor will officiate.
