Oveda Mathis Ashley, 89, of McRae, died on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the Jeff Davis Hospital, Hazlehurst.

Mrs. Ashley was preceded in death by her husband, George T. Ashley; a daughter, Julie Clement; her parents, Clayton and Annie Walden Mathis.

She retired from Keebler Biscuit Company in Macon.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 27th at the Scotland Cemetery.

Glenn Bonnette and Rev. Bill Jones will officiate.

Survivors include a son, Jerry (Lynn) Ashley of McRae; 1 granddaughter, Miranda Ashley of McRae; 2 brothers, Charles (Ann) Mathis of McRae and Richard (Joyce) Mathis of Gray; 2 sisters, Geraldine McMillan of Albany and Lynn (Glenn) Bonnette of Warner Robins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Faith Baptist Church, P.O. Box 323, McRae Helena, Georgia 31055.
