Mrs. Monette Studstill Selph, age 89 of Milan, Georgia died Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Heart of Georgia Nursing Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Antioch II Baptist Church, in Milan, with Rev. Jack Lee officiating. The family will greet friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, August 9th at the Lowe's Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at Old Daniel Baptist Church in Dodge County following the services.
Monette was born on July 18, 1930 in Dodge County in the Union Community. She was a long-time member of Antioch II Baptist Church in Milan. Monette retired from a nursing career having worked at The Clinic in Eastman, Peach County Hospital, Houston County Hospital, Dr. William Briggs office, Telfair County Hospital, McRae Manor Nursing Home, and Dodge County Hospital. She enjoyed gardening and was especially proud of her extensive variety of day lilies
.
Monette was the daughter of the late Massey "Mack" Studstill and Lura Julle Pace Studstill. She was predeceased in death by her husband of 60 years, Hoyt Selph, daughter, Cheryl Farley and a brother, Max Studstill.
Survivors: Daughter-Alicia (Ed) Graham of Eastman, Son-Vernon (Gail) Selph of Center Point, AL, 4 Grandchildren-Jason Selph, Joshua (Nicole) Farley, Jonathan (Casi) Selph and Allen (Katrina) Farley. Great-grandchildren-Chyenne Farley, Joshua Kyle Farley, Jr., Brandon Farley, Allen Michael Farley, Kylee Farley, Roxanna Farley, Chace Carden and Levi Selph; Sisters-June Carreker of Dublin and Gladys Kate Peacock of Eastman; Sister-in-law-Betty Studstill of Byron and Geraldine Selph of McRae; sisters-in-law, Dicie McLean, Jackie (Jimmy) Spires, B.J. Selph; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Flowers are accepted or donations made be made to Antioch II, 180 Antioch South Road, Milan, Georgia 31060.
