Services for Mike Raleigh Spires Sr. of McRae, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 18 in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home with interment in the Red Hill Holiness Church Cemetery.

The Rev. Randy Conley, the Rev. Darrell Barlow and the Rev. Doyle Connell will be officiating.

Mr. Spires, age 75, passed away on July 14, 2014, at his residence. He was the son of the late Henry Robert and Rosa Jones Spires of Milan.

Survivors include his children, Ginger Bowen of Warner Robins, Brenda (Mark) Padgett of Milan, Mike Spires of Milan and Selena (Tim) Woodard of Eastman; mother of his children and husband-in-law, Carolyn and W.D. Lane of Eastman; 6 grandchildren, Michael Johns, Mark (Jessica) Padgett, Cody Spires, Blake Bowen, Brooke Bowen and Logan Woodard; step- grandson, Jock (Lori) Padgett; 2 great-grandchildren, Kodi Rae Wilson and Charlie Johns; 2 step-grandchildren, Caroline Padgett and Ansley Padgett; 2 sisters, Virginia (Doyle) Connell of McRae and Ruzell (Joe) Glidwell of Lincoionton.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, July 17 in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home in Helena.
