Graveside services for Meriam Inez McLaughlin, 68, of Lumber City, will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Helena City Cemetery.

Pastor Scott Davidson and the Lay Minister Norwood Davidson will be officiating.

Meriam passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Bethany Nursing Home in Vidalia.

She was a member of the Helena Baptist Church and was a CNA at Southern Charm in McRae.

She was the daughter of the late Sidney Bishop and Leona Luke McLaughlin.

Survivors include her children April Pittman of Five Points, Ala., Jay (Donna) Kearce of LaFayette, Ala., Brad Kearce of Lumber City, Casey (A.J.) McLeod of Oak Park, Ga; grandchildren, Meri Alex Pittman, Cole Donner, Cody Donner, Jobie Powell and Tisey Powell; brother, Bishop McLaughlin of Helena; sister, Wanda McLaughlin of Helena; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, October 3 at the funeral home.
