Graveside services for Maudetta Spires Yawn of Denton will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013 at Rockwell Church Cemetery with the Rev. Alvin Lewis officiating.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 28 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Yawn, age 88, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Coffee Regional Hospital in Douglas. She was the daughter of the late John W. and Mattie Lee Walker Spires of Telfair County and the widow of John T. Yawn. She was preceded in death by two children, Johnny Yawn and Barbara Foskey.

Survivors include two children, Ray Allen Yawn of Phoenix City, Al. and Jenny Yawn (Rodney) Rogers of Denton; eleven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.
