Mattie Kate Blizzard Wrye, of McRae, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin.

Mattie Kate, age 78, was the daughter of the late Daniel Lee and Minnie Lee Hatten Blizzard of McRae. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, James Daniel Tedrow and Mark Steve Tedrow.

She had worked at Roydon Wear and the McRae Manor Nursing Home in McRae.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 11 at the funeral home. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 12 in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Friendship Cemetery.

Survivors include 4 children, Tony Harding (Sharon Mathis) of Dexter, Kathy Roberson (Todd Graham) of Cadwell, Dean (Suzy) Floyd of McRae and Johnny Floyd of Workmore; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister, Daniel (Effie Joe) Blizzard of Gray, Claire B. Batchelor of Ocilla, W.A. Blizzard of Dublin, Robert Blizzard of Workmore, Dewey Blizzard (Patricia Williams) of Chauncey, Paul (Nancy) Blizzard of Donaldsville; several nieces and nephews.
