Mary Esther Maloy Spires

Mary Esther Maloy Spires, 71 of Rhine, passed away Friday, January 07, 2022 at her residence. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dougald Graham Maloy and Vivian Walker Maloy; brothers, Don (Waynie) Maloy and Harris Maloy; Sister-In-Law, Jackie Spires and Brother-In-Law, Wayne Keen.

Ms. Mary enjoyed serving her Lord Jesus Christ and her church, Sharon Baptist Church, where she was treasurer for 20+ years. She was a retired school bus driver for Telfair County, Bookkeeper and Co. Owner of Dennards Truck Repair. Her family was her life. She loved watching her grandchildren grow, having alone time with her husband and sharing a good cup of coffee with her children, grandchildren and friends.

Survivors include her husband of Rhine, Dennard Spires of 51 years, children, Tanya (Jody) Yancey, Ben (Wendy) Spires and Amy (Sam) Little all of Rhine; Grandchildren, Will (Haylie) Yancey, Jordan (Hunter) Selph, Morgan Spires, Amber Spires, Cody Spires, John Spires, Robert Spires, Brandon Spires, Brian Spires, Shelly Spires, Joshua Spires, Julianna Spires, Thomas Spires, Destiny (Tyler) Crosby, Brianna Robertson, Haley (Alex) Adams, Logan Little and Maggie Little; Great-Grandchildren, Reed Crosby and Greyson Adams; Sisters, Hazel Keen and Karen (Sammy) Rawlins; Brother, Larry Maloy; Brother-In-Laws, Dalt (Greta) Spires and Donnie Spires; Sister-In-Law, Faye (Grady) Selph.

Visitation for Ms. Spires will be Sunday, January 09, 2022 at Sharon Baptist Church from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. and a funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Sharon Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Scott McDuffie, Rev. Jody Yancey and Rev. Chris Adams will officiate.
