Lois Rawlins Rieger Williams

Lois Rawlins Rieger Williams, 95, of Helena, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 19, 2016, at her residence. Mrs. Williams was born in Telfair County and resided here most of her entire life.

She was a devout Christian woman and was very active in her church, serving as a Sunday School teacher over 50 years, a WMU leader, choir member and various other duties. She was a member of the McRae First Baptist Church. Mrs. Williams retired from Ryals Drug Store.

A devoted wife, mother and granny to her grands and great grands, she loved sharing her culinary skills with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, visiting family and friends, and always had time to shop.

Preceding her in death were her parents, John and Nona Batchelor Rawlins, her first husband, Frank Rieger, her brothers, Raymond and Oscar Rawlins and a granddaughter, Lynn Helms.

Services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 22 at the Helena Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. before the services. Burial will follow in the Helena City Cemetery.

The Rev. Alvin Lewis will officiate.

Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband, Jimmy Williams; 2 daughters, Susan Brown of Perry, and Patricia Bryant of Centerville; 3 grandchildren, Michael (Trish) Brown and Michelle Brown, both of Warner Robins, David (Brandy) Bryant of Centerville; 8 great-grandchildren, Stuart, Robert, Brock, Jessica, Emily, Kryssi, Kylee and Conner; 1 niece, B.J. Sellars of Brunswick; and a host of friends and family.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the charity of your choice in her memory.
