Linda Grimes Selph

Linda Grimes Selph, 70, of Vidalia, died on Wednesday, April 28th, 2021 at Summers Landing Assisted Living Facility in Vidalia.

Linda worked in the Wheeler County Hospital and worked for Dr. LC McRae in Mt. Vernon. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse; she was a 1969 graduate of Wheeler County High School and was a 1977 graduate of Ben Hill Irwin Technical School. Linda was a member of the Community Church of God and served as the pianist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Herschel Selph; her first husband, Leon Nelms; parents, Rev. E.H. Grimes and Mary Anna Moore Grimes; infant sister, Peggy Grimes; brother, Charles Grimes.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 30th, 2021 in the Grimes Family Cemetery. Rev. Randall Horne will officiate.

Survivors include her children, Tillie (Jeff) Jackson of Vidalia, Laney Nelms of Pooler; grandchildren

Hayley (Kyle) Hughston of Statesboro, Jarrett Jackson of Vidalia; 2 brothers, Bobby Grimes of McRae, Wendall Grimes of McRae; 1 sister, Carolyn Laughman of Macon; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be given to the Community Church of God, 103 Community Church Road, McRae Helena, Georgia 31037 or Serenity Hospice Care, 104 Maple Drive, Vidalia, Georgia 30474.
