Lilly Whatley, 87, of McRae, died on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Whatley was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Ferrell Whatley and her parents, Isaiah Franklin Elton and Estell Richardson Elton.

She was a member of Springhill Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 1st in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home and interment will follow in the Springhill Cemetery.

The Rev. Gwinnette Aldridge will officiate.

Survivors include her 3 children, Phyllis Rivers of McRae, Sam (Pam) Whatley of Houston, Texas and Daryl (Rhonda) Whatley of Brunswick; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Abbie (Eddie) Locke of Scotland; 3 sister-in-laws, Ethel Ann Elton of McRae, Ruenell Elton of Milledgeville and Peggy Elton of McRae.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, September 30th at the funeral home.
