Lila Weatherly Jordan, 82, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at

Serenity Place in Dublin, Georgia, after a brief illness. Ms. Jordan was born on

November 14, 1935, in Cadwell and was the daughter of the late Dorothy and Guy

Weatherly, Sr. of McRae.

Ms. Jordan was a graduate of McRae Helena High School and received a B.S. Degree

in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Teachers' College in Statesboro. She

completed her Master's Degree and Education Specialist Degree in Early Childhood

Education from Georgia Southern College. Ms. Jordan retired after teaching First

Grade in Louisville, Waynesboro, and Jesup. While she was in Jesup, she was a

Member of Freewill Baptist Church and WMU.

After moving to Dublin, Ms. Jordan resided at Dublin Place for eleven years. She was

a member of First Baptist Church of Dublin where she attended the Mary Martha

Sunday school class.

Ms. Jordan is preceded in death by her brother, Grady Weatherly, and by her

parents. Survivors include her brother, Guy Weatherly, Jr. (Janet) of Cedar Grove;

Jane Weatherly Epting (Richard) of Dublin; Tot Weatherly Free of Swainsboro;

sister-in-law, Lila Faye Weatherly of Dublin; and her nieces, nephews, great nieces,

and great nephews. She also leaves behind her special caregivers, Alzatie Floyd,

Elizabeth Balkcom, Cynthia Mitchell, and Deloise Tinsley.

The family of Ms. Jordan will greet friends at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 9, at

Lowe's Funeral Home at 170 8th St., McRae-Helena, Georgia 31037. The funeral will

be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel, followed by a private graveside service for the family.
