Lewis William Lomerson, age 89, of Milan, Georgia, passed away on October 3, 2026, in Eastman, Georgia.

Born on February 13, 1937, in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, Lewis lived a long life marked by public service and dedication to his community. He served as city manager for the City of Somerville, New Jersey, a role that reflected his steady commitment to civic responsibility and the work of local government.

Memorialization was by cremation. Services will be private.

He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Oppel and Mary Kane, his son, Michael Lomerson, five grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his companion, Cynthia Troy. Those who knew Lewis will remember him with affection and gratitude, and his memory will remain with the people who loved him. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Lomerson, and Amy Stone Lomerson.

Lewis William Lomerson’s life was one of purpose, family, and service. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
