Lenard F. Harrelson, Sr., "Gran Gran", 76, of Helena, died on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at his home. Lenard was born in Dodge County to Willie Thomas Harrelson and Mary Frank Purvis Harrelson on May 3, 1943. He was a retired meat cutter, and he was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Lenard was a devoted Christian, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Coach, and a Friend to many. Lenard was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Thomas Harrelson and Mary Frank Purvis Harrelson. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Clark Jones, and by his sister, Willie Mae Burch.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at Lowe's Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Helena Cemetery. The Reverend Stacey Stone will officiate. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at Lowe's Funeral Home Chapel.

Survivors include his wife, Jimmie W. Harrelson, his children Len (Michelle) Harrelson of Helena, Mike (Julie) Harrelson of McRae, and Brian (Hollie) Harrelson of Helena. Lenard is also survived by his nine beloved grandchildren, Jake Boney, Gage Harrelson, Noah Harrelson, Sidney Harrelson, Abby Harrelson, Cade Harrelson, Lola Harrelson, Abram Harrelson, and Athens Harrelson. Also, survived by 1 sister, Harvelyn (Charlie) Howard of Helena. The family extends a special appreciation to his caretaker, Ms. Lula Tukes.
