Lena Tucker Clements

Lena Tucker Clements, aged 94, passed away peacefully at her residence in Helena, Georgia, on February 9, 2026. She was born on June 8, 1931, in Workmore Community, Georgia, to the late George Wesley Tucker and Etta Horton Tucker.

A graveside service will be held at Clements Cemetery on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Andy Brownley officiating, assisted by Dr. Jerry Roe. The family will visit with friends after the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Bruised Reed Ministries, 415 Griffin Ave., Eastman, Georgia 31023.

Lena is survived by her daughter, Janice Irvin, her son, Wesley Dean Clements, and her daughter-in-law, Charlotte Clements; grandchildren, Amy Harrison (Jami), Jodi Bazemore (Russell), Rusty Clements (Beth), and Benji Clements; great-grandchildren, Aidan, Rhett, Rustyn, Kinsley, and Whitley ; loving relative and neighbor, Joyce Bush. Lena was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Sanders Clements, her sons, Steve Clements, Kenny Clements and her parents, George and Etta Tucker.

A homemaker by profession, Lena was also an expert seamstress. She grew up in and was a longtime member of Mt. Galilee Baptist Church. Later in life, she joined Cedar Grove Methodist Church.

Lena enjoyed gardening, reading her Bible, and attending church. She also loved watching the Braves and taking special care of her beloved cat, Ziggi, whom she lovingly called, "Kitty." Lena's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
