Obituary

Services for Kenneth "Ken" Lynn Tokar of McRae will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 20 at McRae United Methodist Church with interment in Telfair Memorial Gardens.

The Rev. Peter Barlow and Rev. Murray Ward will officiate.

Mr. Tokar, 67, died Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at his residence in McRae. He was the son of the late Joseph and Edith Crosser Tokar of Pennsylvania and was married to Janeen Svitko Tokar of McRae.

After graduation in Pennsylvania, he served in Vietnam, then continued his education in New Haven, Connecticut and became a Chef at the Culinary Institute of America. He was in Lodging Operations with the Dept. of Natural Resources with the State of Georgia. He was a member of McRae United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife Janeen Tokar of McRae; sons, Kent (Lori) Tokar of Newnan and Kory (Allison) Tokar of McRae; sisters, Arlene (Ronald) Marans of Ormond Beach, FLA and Kathy (George) Street of Boston, PA; brother, Joel (Elana) Tokar of Middleburg, FLA; grandchildren, Annslee and Dustin Tokar of Newnan, Avery and Granna Tokar of McRae; and many friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 19 at the funeral home.
