June Lafavor Price
Thursday, June 21, 1951 – Saturday March 28, 2026
June Lafavor Price, 74, of McRae-Helena, passed away on March 28, 2026 at Piedmont Macon Hospital following a brief illness. June was born on June 21, 1951 to Marcie and Vauneda Dennis Lafavor, each of whom preceded her in death.
June was married to her loving groom, Lacey A. Price, for fifty-four years. Together, they welcomed, nurtured and raised their two daughters, Angie and Jennifer. When her daughters were girls, June used to speak of her desire to meet each of her daughters' needs in light of their individual personalities. She wanted to be the best Mama that she could be and was so very proud of her girls and beamed with pride for the amazing women and mothers they have become.
June enjoyed her retirement from Husqvarna after thirty-two years of service. During this time, June enjoyed working in the yard and her home. She kept the grounds up to the highest standards. Most of all, June enjoyed spending time with her family; especially with her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter. June and Lacey also enjoyed welcoming friends and family to gatherings at her home for cookouts. June was a calm, steady, loving and reassuring force for her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.
June is survived by her husband, Lacey Price of McRae-Helena, daughters, Angie Walker of McRae-Helena and Jennifer Gilliard (Bobby) of Graniteville, South Carolina. She also had the blessing of having five grandchildren, Hannah Stokes (Jake) of Eastman, Natalie Walker of McRae-Helena, Hayden Gilliard, Baylee Gilliard, and Levi Gilliard of Graniteville, South Carolina. June also had the additional blessing of loving and holding her great-granddaughter, Delta Wren Stokes of Eastman. Also surviving June are her three siblings, Vaunell McNeal (Bobby) of McRae-Helena, Marian Owens of Eatonton, and Stanley Lafavor (Teresa) of McRae-Helena, in addition to a host of other relatives and dear friends.
The Price family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all of the individuals involved in her care and for all who have reached out in support of them during this difficult time. Our gratitude also to the staff of Lowes Funeral Home for their work and support.
A private Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
