Julie Melinda Murray of Helena passed away December 24, 2013 at Chandler St. Joseph Hospital in Savannah. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 26 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 27 in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home with interment in the Telfair Memorial Gardens in McRae.

The Rev. Royce Hulett will officiate.

Julie, age 43, was the daughter of Shirley J. Simmons of McRae and William Charles Gable Sr. of Forest Park. She was preceded in death by her step-father Thomas C. Simmons Sr.

She had worked for the Telfair County Sheriff's Dept. and was of Pentecostal Holiness faith.

Survivors include 1 son, Mark (Jobbie) Murray Jr. of Helena; 2 grandchildren, Dakota Murray and Alissa Murray of Helena; mother, Shirley J. Simmons of McRae; father, William Charles Gable Sr. of Forest Park; 2 brothers, William C. (Renee) Gable Jr. of Baxley and Thomas C. (Mandy) Simmons of Buford.
