Julian Bryant Smith Sr., 94, of Lumber City, died on Friday, August 17, 2018 in the Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Columbus Smith and Emily Molly Roland Smith; the mother of his children, Grace Winham Smith.
He was the oldest living member of Sardis Baptist Church, a farmer and a Army Veteran serving during World War II.
Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 19th in the Sardis Baptist Church and interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The Rev. Wayne Bennett will officiate.
Survivors include his wife Grace Smith of Lumber City; 3 children, Butch (Carol) Smith of Metter, Walon (Karen) Smith of Warner Robins, Marybeth (Keith) Cook of Norcross; 6 grandchildren, Brooke (David) Slappey of Charleston, South Carolina, Bradley Smith of Charleston, South Carolina, Jessie (Bradley) Minnigan of Franklin, Tennessee, Julie (Andrew) Dearing of Warner Robins, Braxton Cook of Norcross, Thayer Cook of Norcross; 1 brother, Clifford Smith of Mt. Vernon; 2 great-grandchildren, Finley Dearing of Warner Robins, Madeline Grace Slappey of Charleston, South Carolina; 1 step son, J.L. Bryant of Macon.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 18th at the funeral home.
