Judy Van Smith

Judy Van Smith, age 71, of Augusta, Georgia, formerly of Helena, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at Serenity Hospice in Dublin.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph W. Smith and Rosa Van Long Smith.

She retired from the Medical College of Georgia, where she was Chief Technologist in the Radiology Department.

Survivors include her daughter, Stacy Vann (Layton) Waters, of Dallas, Texas; sister, Jane Horton of Alamo; and several nieces and nephews.

Her family gathered for a private graveside service on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at Telfair Memorial Gardens in McRae.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. at Lowe's Chapel on Saturday, October 10, 2015, to celebrate and honor Judy's life.
