Services for Joyce Daphene Taylor of Santa Clause, GA., will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 17 in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home, Helena, with interment in Macedonia Church Cemetery, McRae.

The Rev. Bobby Joe Ryals will officiate.

Mrs. Taylor, 72, died April 14, 2013 at the Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia.

She was the daughter of the late Willie Eugene and Josie Powell Horton of Telfair County and was married to Kenneth Taylor of Santa Clause, GA.

She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and had retired from Roydon Wear in McRae.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Taylor of Santa Clause; 3 children, Joyce (Andy) Simmons of Pembroke, Judy (Darvin) Everett of Fitzgerald and Joe (Elaine) Page of McRae; step-children, Michael Taylor of Bradenton, Fl and Jackie Bird of Beaumont, CA.;10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, James (Lucille) Horton of McRae; 4 sisters, Genette Curtis of Milan, Laylene Cherry of Dublin, Larie Jean (Eddie) Lane of McRae and Martha Dykes of Milan; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

The Grandson will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 16 at the funeral home.
