Joshua Kannan Thornburg

Joshua Kannan Thornburg, 16 of McRae, passed away Thursday, February 09, 2023, at the Dodge County Hospital. He is preceded in death by his father, Clayton Thornburg.

Mr. Thornburg was a 10th grader at Telfair County High School. He loved music, bands, church and military funerals on iTunes.

Mr. Thornburg is survived by his mother, Kristie Moore of McRae; grandmother, Nancy Moore of McRae; stepmother, Brandi Fordham; great-grandmother, Peggy Turner of McRae; Uncle, Jason (Traci) Hulett of Flowery Branch; aunt, Julie (John) Davis of Atlanta and uncle, Charles Thornburg of Hawkinsville.

Visitation will be held from 2:30 P.M. - 4 P.M. on Monday, February 13, 2023, in the Chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place immediately afterwards at 4 P.M. Burial will be private. Rev. Dennis Johnson and Rev. Scott McDuffie will officiate.

Donations may be sent to Telfair County High School Band or to the Telfair County High School Cupcake Factory at, 458 South 3rd Ave. McRae-Helena, GA 31055.
