Joseph David Barton, age 54, of Dearing, Georgia, passed away on October 16, 2025, at Doctor's Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. He was born on February 16, 1971, in Dublin, Georgia.

Graveside Services will be held at Telfair Memorial Gardens on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 12:00 P.M. Rev. Chris Adams will officiate. The family will visit with friends at Lowes Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. – 11:45 A.M. Interment will take place at Telfair Memorial Gardens.

Joseph is survived by his daughter, Lydia Barton, of Dexter, grandchildren, Christopher Barton and David LeMay of Dexter and Kelsey Sanders of Cochran, parents, Justine Adams (Jed) of Dearing, brother, Chad Adams (Donna) of Thomson and sister Amy Miller of Dearing. He was preceded in death by his father, Don Barton and his brother, Kenneth Barton.

Joseph worked in construction as a roofer. He was a member of Fort Creek Baptist Church.

Joseph's love for life was evident in his passions. He loved to play guitar and was enthusiastic about helping others. Joseph's greatest joy was spending time with his loved ones, and he cherished every moment he had with his family.
