John D. Spoon Jr., 59, of Scotland, died on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the Medical Center in Macon.

John was the son of the late J.D. Spoon Sr. and Gladys Pittman Spoon.

He was a retired truck driver.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 17th in the Oak Grove Cemetery, McRae.

The Rev. Ray Harris will officiate.

Survivors include his wife, of 40 years, Sandra Cameron Spoon of Scotland; 1 daughter, Cassie Spoon of Scotland; 1 grandson, Daniel Spoon; 1 sister, Joan Spoon Wilcox of Leesburg, GA.; 2 aunts, Annette Smith of Thomaston and Christine Brackett of Metter; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Friday, February 16th at the funeral home.
